HMRC no longer have to give a reason for opening enquiries into your affairs. A full enquiry can require a large amount of our time, and the cost of investigations can rise quickly beyond £1,000. Our tax compliance service will cover you and your business for our professional fees due, in the event that you are investigated.

We at HfM are concerned about this situation and are therefore recommending that our clients insure themselves and their businesses against the cost of random enquiries.

After researching the major providers of this type of cover we have chosen TaxSafe from CCH. In our opinion TaxSafe offers excellent value for money and we therefore highly recommend that you take advantage of this offer by returning the attached fax back form without delay. We have negotiated with IRPC to include in the TaxSafe fee protection package cover for aspect, as well as full, enquiries.

Included with the TaxSafe package for businesses is unlimited access to the CCH Business Support Helpline. This valuable option gives you access to practical advice from experienced professionals on many areas including Employment, Health and Safety, Business Law and Payroll. The helpline is there to offer advice, support or even just act as a “sounding board” for your business.
